Nicotine Lozenges

What are Nicotine Lozenges?

Nicotine Lozenges are relatively new in the nicotine replacement therapy range. Nicotine Lozenges are like small lollies, and are very affective in helping smokers to quit. Nicotine Lozenges also come in different strengths e.g. 4mg and 2mg and packets also come in different flavours. Nicotine gum is also a very cheap alternative so you can benefit financially using this product quickly.

How do they work?

Like the nicotine gum, nicotine lozenges are placed into the mouth and by lightly sucking the lozenge and again can be placed on the inside of the cheek, small amounts of nicotine are released and absorbed through the mouths lining and into the bloodstream. Unlike the nicotine gum, the nicotine lozenge is fully dissolved inside the mouth.

Side Effects?

Tingling in tounge, gums and throat, hiccups, headaches and diarrhoea are the most common side effects. However, these symptoms usually subside when you get used to them. As usual if symptoms do persist see your doctor or Pharmacist for advice.
