Nicotine Inhalers

What are Nicotine Inhalers?

Nicotine inhalers look a bit like a cigarette, you then attach or insert a cartridge. Nicotine inhalers are usually just the one strength and to quit successfully you simply cut down on cartridges until you no longer feel like smoking.

How does it work?

The cartridge in the mouthpiece holds all the nicotine. You then puff on the device like you are smoking, the nicotine is the asorbed into the mouth and then into the bloodstream, each cartridge will last around 20 minutes, you then throw away the cartridge and insert a new one when you feel your next craving. To quit you will need to use fewer cartridges until you finally stop smoking.

The inhaler is a good option as it not only deals with the craving but also the habit of smoking, giving you a much better chance of quitting.

Side Effects?

The main side effect of the nicotine inhaler is irritation of the mouth and throat. However this usually subsides in a few days with continued use.
